TERRA INCOGNITA
Terra Incognita is a triptych made up of three canvases
The words Terra Incognita were written on old maps over an unknown or uncharted place
The work is two fold in meaning. as both a depiction of personal change and ecolgical upheaval
The work is an attempt to map the unmappable

The colour palette of blue, green and yellow, references colour theory and balance in nature
This balance is encapsulated in the green, blue and yellow and in the continous but divivded landscape
A strange, unknown land containing both stillness and motion PP
This work embraces a wild, untame, unknown future

This work was influenced by the book 'A Field Guide to Getting Lost' by Rebecca Solnit
